ACCESSIBILITY POLICY, ADOPTED APRIL 12, 2013

The Prescott Animal Hospital and Rideau-St. Lawrence Veterinary Services are committed to providing outstanding veterinary services for all clients and their animals.

The staff of Prescott Animal Hospital and of Rideau-St. Lawrence Veterinary Services will provide clients with disabilities the same level of customer service as all clients to the best of our abilities.  We will do so in a manner that respects their dignity and independence.

Regarding Communication:                                                                                                            We will communicate with clients as best accommodates any disability.

Regarding Assistive Devices:                                                                                                           All clients with assistive devices will be permitted to access the public areas of the facility while using their device.  The staff will offer assistance to the best of their ability to meet the needs of the client.

Regarding Service Animals:                                                                                                            All service animals are welcome in all public spaces of the facility.

Regarding Support Persons:                                                                                                           All support persons assisting an individual with a disability will be granted access to all public areas of the facility with the individual.

Regarding Notice of Temporary Disruption:                                                                                    In cases where a disruption of normal services affects persons with disabilities, notices will be posted on the website and in the reception areas of the facility.

Regarding Staff Training:                                                                                                         Training will be provided for all those who regularly interact with clients.  Accessibility Training will endeavor to provide helpful information related to providing customer service to persons with disabilities in a respectful manner.

Feedback Process:                                                                                                                 Feedback is welcomed in person, in writing or by fax or email and by telephone to the attention of the Practice Managers.  The Managers will evaluate any feedback received and respond to any concerns presented by clients.

We are committed to a safe working environment for our employees.  Abusive/aggressive            behavior and/or coarse language will not be tolerated.


 Fees & Payment

All our fees are based on the fee guide published by the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association. This guide helps establish fair veterinary fees throughout the province.

For your convenience, we accept payment by cash, debit, VISA, MasterCard, e-transfer and online banking.  We regret that we do not accept personal cheques except for pre-approved accounts.   E-transfers can be sent to RideauSt.LawrenceVS@nva.com. Sending bank MUST allow autodeposit. Online payments can be made to: “Rideau St Lawrence Veterinary Services” through your online banking platform. Please make your account number at least 5 digits by adding zeros to the beginning.

A credit card is required on file for all new accounts.  Invoices are generated and distributed on the first day of each month.  Payment in full is due within 30 days.
